There are various ways to approach us with a view to becoming a client of the Society and benefiting from our services. Your doctor, optician, health visitor, social worker, friend, relative, neighbour, etc., can all refer you if they think you will fit our criteria. Many people refer themselves by getting in touch by telephone, letter, e-mail or in person. You can be registered blind or partially sighted or not registered at all. Anyone can become a client if they have uncorrectable sight loss in both eyes. After referral, an assessment will be carried out by one of our Care Managers.
