The Walking Group is enjoyed by some of our more able clients although everyone is encouraged to try. Walks tend to be on level ground and are about two to four miles in length. The essentials are comfortable shoes or boots, wet weather gear (this is Scotland after all) and a packed lunch. And, being realistic, these only go on in the so-called summer months.

And, alternating with the Walking Group are the Summer Outings. These are for the less mobile of our clients who are a bit housebound. The minibus takes the group to a well-chosen café or restaurant for a lunch and maybe a bit of shopping or sightseeing. These are happy occasions that provide a bit of company and socialising for some of our clients.

We run occasional events for the Society. In the past we have had Choir Concerts, Christmas Concerts, Fairs and Open Days where Low Vision companies have displayed their latest equipment. We will highlight any forthcoming events here.
